Responsibilities
- The ideal candidate will (but not limited to):
- Ensures general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, and other financial records and schedules are accurately maintained.
- Institutes policies and procedures capable of protecting the business resources against waste, fraud, and inefficiency.
- Maintains procedures to establish tight control over cash transactions.
- Ensures timely follow-up of accounts receivable and payable.
- Evaluates & implements internal and external audit recommendations & provides feedback to management on results.
Qualifications
- BSc Degree in Finance, Economics or a related field
- A qualified chartered accountant with 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing/export Industry
- Proven working experience as a Finance Analyst
- Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
- Hands-on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
- Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
- Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis
- Well-informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market and business environments
- ICAN/ ACCA Professional Membership is required.
- Must be able to use modern accounting software.
Required Competencies:
- Technical Accounting Skills.
- Mastery of Accounting Principles
- Proven work experience as a Finance Analyst or similar role
- Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory standards
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent data collection and analysis skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Relevant training and certifications.
- Multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
