Job Description

The Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a company’s social media strategy, managing its online presence, and engaging with its audience across various platforms.

This involves creating and curating content, planning and executing campaigns, analysing performance metrics, and staying updated on social media trends.

They also collaborate with other teams, such as marketing and content, to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency.

Job Responsibilities

Content Creation and Curation:

  1. Developing and implementing social media strategies aligned with business objectives.
  2. Creating engaging content (text, images, videos, etc.) for different platforms.
  3. Scheduling and publishing content to maintain a consistent presence.
  4. Curating content from other sources to share with the audience.
  5. Ensuring content aligns with brand voice and messaging.

Community Management:

  1. Monitoring social media channels for mentions, comments, and messages.
  2. Responding to inquiries, feedback, and comments in a timely and professional manner.
  3. Fostering a positive and engaging online community.
  4. Identifying and engaging with influencers and brand advocates.

Campaign Management:

  1. Planning and executing social media campaigns to achieve specific goals (e.g., increasing brand awareness, driving traffic, generating leads).
  2. Managing social media advertising campaigns and budgets.
  3. Tracking and analysing campaign performance using relevant metrics.
  4. Preparing reports on campaign performance and providing recommendations for improvement.

Strategic Planning and Analysis:

  1. Staying up-to-date on the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices.
  2. Conducting competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
  3. Analysing social media metrics to understand audience behaviour and engagement.
  4. Developing strategies to improve social media performance and reach.

Collaboration and Communication:

  1. Collaborating with other teams, such as marketing, content, and design, to ensure cohesive branding and messaging.
  2. Communicating with key stakeholders about social media performance and strategy.
  3. Working effectively with internal teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.

In addition to these core responsibilities, a Social Media Manager may also be involved in:

  1. Developing and maintaining a content calendar.
  2. Managing social media budgets.
  3. Producing multimedia content (videos, graphics, etc.).
  4. Staying informed about social media platform updates and algorithm changes.
  5. Adapting to changing trends and technologies.
  6. Training and mentoring other team members.

Requirements:

Candidates should possess relevant qualifications with experience.

Salary
N200,000 – N250,000 / Month.
